  • Likely at a welcoming event for the African American Students Foundation in 1959 or 1960.
  • Malcolm X (born Malcolm Little; May 19, 1925 – February 21, 1965) was an African American Muslim minister and human rights activist who was a popular figure during the civil rights era, and a spokesman for the Nation of Islam until 1964.
  • He left the Nation of Islam in 1964, and after completing the Hajj to Mecca in April of that year, he became known as el-Hajj Malik el-Shabazz.
