THIS WEEK’S CHALLENGE: Africa Map & Facts

Welcome to this week's challenge. These have been created to help the development and growth of ALL our Sankofa Kids and YOU, the parents, guardians and carers.

This week we are setting a challenge centered around the current countries of Africa and facts.

5 DAY CHALLENGE INSTRUCTIONS

EACH DAY FOR 5 DAYS

1. Start with the full map of Africa and study for 5-10 minutes with your child. You want to talk about where countries are, what you know about them. Just loosely try and lean a bit more about the geography of the continent.

2. Take 5 mins to quiz your child to point out a few quick fire countries on the blank map of Africa. 

3. This is where the real fun starts. We have provided an example sheet for Ghana but use a print out (or do something similar on a blank sheet of paper)
Choose a country in Africa.
Draw the flag.
Research and write out 2 facts for young kids and more for older kids. If your child is rolling, let them write an essay and keep going but we suggest 5 facts at least for older kids.

Make sure you share videos and the sheets your children produce to the group.!

MAKE SURE YOU POST TO THE GROUP! It is really important that we keep motivated and motivate each other so let's keep interacting with other members and posting updates on the private facebook group. When it is related to this challenge use the hashtags  #WeeklyChallenge#Africa&Facts
