Greetings Sankofa Club Family,

I have provided some links to help you and your children have a little fun days leading up to our Raising Proud Black Children Pep Rally. There are ideas for boys and girls.

This hobby craft link has a really cool Egyptian Mask Activity that you can have your children work on before the day of our Raising Proud Black Children Pep Rally.

This is also a great youtube video of How To Make an Egyptian Costume out of a sheet. PLEASE NOTE: a toga was worn by Romans and Greeks; however, for an easy costume out of a sheet, this is a great video to show you how tie a sheet. To make it more Egyptian, also wrap a shawl around the shoulders using a pillowcase or another sheet. See pics below in the Wikihow link for how it should look.

This Wikihow link shows what the Egyptian dress should look like with a shawl. It also has a loin cloth picture and how to tie it, for boys to wear.

This is another fun crafty activity to make an amazing headdress, belt and bracelet.

Happy crafting and designing. I look forward to seeing all the amazing creations of your children at the Pep Rally!
