Sankofa Club welcomes two exceptional guests, mother and daughter duo of a successful company coming to share their story with our Sankofa Club family and neighborhood. Evana and her incredible little girl, nine-year-old Zoe Oli, were our specials guests, Saturday 24th July, at 7:30 pm EST. They talked about their journey to creating their business, building confidence, and Zoe read one of her books, a perfect activity before bed.
“Evana and 9-year-old Zoe Oli are the Mother/Daughter duo behind Beautiful Curly Me, an Atlanta-based lifestyle brand that inspires confidence and self-love in young black girls through dolls that reflect their natural beauty, hair care products, accessories, and empowering books written by Zoe.
When she was 6, Zoe had self-esteem challenges and as she learned to love and embrace her natural curls, she wanted to create dolls and other products that inspired girls like her to love who they are inside and out. Zoe launched her company in 2019 at 7 years old with her Mom’s help.
Beautiful Curly Me has been featured on Forbes, Black Enterprise, Essence, and their doll Leyla has been featured in the 2020 Oprah’s Favorite things promo.
